I think that naming our streets after the men and women who sacrificed their lives for our freedom is a very good idea. Since 1990 the municipal policy has been to name 50% of new street names after the War dead of Guelph. My question for anyone who cares is this: How will future generations know that these names have this significance? One can always go to city hall and search the records of street naming but really... who is going to do this? Any ideas on how we can give these street names more significance?
